DOES YOUR COMPANY NEED HELP WITH HEALTH AND SAFETY? KCMA HAS YOUR BACK

One big concern for all organizations is the health and safety of their employees. The Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association is committed to providing tools and resources our members can use to help improve their businesses – both from a growth and internal processes perspective – and health and safety is part of this.

Valuable Business Data – The KCMA Safety Survey

KCMA conducts its Safety Survey each year to gather information about our members’ health and safety practices. It’s important to provide a benchmark for the industry and help our members share ideas and practices to provide the safest environment possible for their employees.

This survey provides up-to-date statistics to take back to insurance companies and highlights innovative safety practices that you can adopt for your own manufacturing operation.

Safe + Sound Campaign

KCMA recently partnered with the U.S. Department of Labor for the 2018 Safe + Sound Campaign. The campaign raises awareness and understanding of the value of safety and health programs that include management leadership, worker participation and a systematic approach to finding and fixing hazards in the workplace.

The goal of the campaign is to encourage every workplace in the U.S. to have a safety and health program, a proactive approach to identifying and managing workplace hazards before they cause injury or illness.

KCMA is committed to helping our members create the safest workplaces possible. While we conduct the Safety Survey each year, we wanted to do more. We’re proud to partner with the Department of Labor and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration to promote successful safety and health programs among our members and the cabinet industry as a whole.

The campaign included Safe + Sound Week, a nationwide event that took place August 13-19, where businesses around the country hosted events or activities that helped initiate or energize a safety and health program.
